Sass & Bide Spring 2012
London Fashion Week
September 16, 2011Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton, head designers at Sass & Bide, have created a vibrant and colourful collection for Spring 2012. The girls have gained inspiration from Japanese influences, collegiate colour palettes and contrasting textures. Sarah and Heidi have certainly used a lot of textures on the garments, and the colour palette is nothing short then bold. The collection was full of sporty-inspired styles in vibrant and rich colours. As well as a whole host of different textures complete with printed designs, stripes, and polka dots.
This the kind of collection that will attract the bold and fearless, hence why the front row included the likes of Peaches Geldof and Paloma Faith. Two people who have quiet a bold fashion sense and aren’t afraid to wear what they want in public. I find this collection to be a very brave move from Sarah and Heidi considering the SS11 collection did not have a palette that resembles a packet of Starburst. For me, however, I do prefer the previous Spring/Summer collection but I can see why this will attract people’s attention for all the right reasons.
